Alliances for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP) is a network of universities dedicated to increasing the number of underrepresented minorities obtaining graduate degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Through funding made available from the Central New York-Puerto Rico (CNY-PR) AGEP, Cornell also offers support during the summer prior to a student formally beginning his/her graduate MS/PhD program. After two years, if a student is progressing satisfactorily, the college will provide further full support by means of Graduate Research Assistantships, Teaching Assistantships and/or additional fellowships. This support will continue for the duration of the student's degree program. All prospective MS/PhD underrepresented minority students are highly encouraged to visit the Cornell campus and meet with the appropriate faculty and staff.
