Important Tips about the Process:
- If you have taken SAT general or subject tests already, you must submit the scores with your application.
- Sign up for the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) with TWE (Test of Written English), if English is not your primary language. Cornell’s institutional code is 2098, and the department code is 00. You will need these to register for the TOEFL exam. All records must be official and translated into English.
- Because international mail can be unpredictable, it is imperative for you to request and submit your documents as quickly as possible.
Cornell is only able to offer a small number of entering international students financial aid. If you are applying to Cornell University as an international undergraduate student, you should plan to pursue your own avenues of funding. Many of Cornell’s international students secure scholarships from their home governments or from private business or industry before enrolling at Cornell. We strongly encourage you to cultivate your own sources of financial support.
