Engineering at very small length scales will produce technologies that utilize materials with new and fundamentally unique properties. An early leader in nanoscience, Cornell is home to the Cornell Center for Materials Research, the Cornell Nanoscale Science and Technology Facility, the Center for Nanoscale Systems, and the Nanobiotechnology Center. These centers and facilities provide the tools needed to create structures using integrated circuit fabrication techniques or to grow them one atom at a time. With superb faculty and infrastructure, Cornell Engineering will continue to lead the nation and the world in nanoscience.
