We do expect all employers - whether recruiting our students on campus or at their own locations - to adhere to Cornell Career Services' Employer Offer Guidelines and Recruiting Policies.
We also expect our students to respond to your job offers according to the expectations we set forth in the On-Campus Recruiting and the Job Search Policies for Cornell Students, 2017-2018.
Employers extending offers during the Fall and Spring semester must give students until a certain date (see Employer Offer Guidelines and Recruiting Policies. for current year dates), or a minimum of three weeks from the date of the offer—whichever is later—to respond to that offer, without pressure to respond earlier.
Use of alcohol by candidates at any time during the recruiting process is not acceptable. Employer recruiting events, whether on or off-campus, should not include alcohol. Additionally, representatives should not extend invitations to students to meet informally at bars in Collegetown or other locations.
