Getting to Ithaca
Travel
There are a number of options available for travel to/from Ithaca as well as within Ithaca during your stay. We are pleased to provide you with the following information but if you are in need of further assistance, please call the Program Manager at 703-851-5215.
Air
Air travel to and from Ithaca is serviced primarily by three airports. The Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport is located about 10 minutes from the Cornell University campus. Airline carriers that provide service to/from Ithaca are American Airlines, Delta and United, with direct daily flights to Philadelphia, Detroit and Newark. The Syracuse Hancock International Airport (about 50 miles north of Ithaca) is serviced by most major airlines including American Eagle, Continental, Delta, JetBlue, Northwest, United Express and USAirways. Finally, the Elmira Corning Regional Airport (approximately 40 miles southwest of Ithaca) with service from Northwest Airlines and USAirways.
Car
If traveling by car, please refer to the directions provided by The Statler Hotel.
Bus
Ithaca is served by both Greyhound and ShortLine bus carriers. Cornell Campus to Campus now offers a service between Manhattan and the Cornell campus. If you would like to use this service, please contact the Program Manager directly. The Statler Hotel provides complimentary transportation for overnight guests to and from the Ithaca Bus Terminal. Please call the hotel at 607-257-2500 to make the necessary arrangements.
Train
The Amtrak station is located in Syracuse (about 50 miles north of Ithaca). Ithaca Airline Limousine service provides transportation between the Amtrak station and Cornell.

Provide ground transportation to Ithaca from the Syracuse Airport. Call for current rates; group rates are available. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance; a credit card is required to confirm your reservation.
Complimentary transportation to and from the Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport is available for all overnight guests. Call 607-257-2500 to make the necessary arrangements.
